Account & Data Deletion

This page describes how to delete your account in the CatOnMap service (the mobile app and the catonmap.app website) by developer Sanders Soft LTD, and what data is deleted in the process.

1How to delete your account in the app

1. Open the CatOnMap app and sign in to your account.
2. Go to Profile → Settings → Account.
3. Tap “Delete account”.
4. Confirm the deletion. This action is irreversible.

2How to request deletion by e-mail

If you no longer have access to the app, send a request to [email protected] from the e-mail address your account is registered with, using the subject "Account deletion". We will process the request and delete the account within 7 days, then send you a confirmation.

3What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following is removed permanently:

• account data: e-mail, nickname, avatar, password (hash);
• all uploaded photos and their files in storage, including shooting coordinates and metadata;
• Lost Cat requests and photos of the missing pet;
• collections, battle results, rankings and your friends list;
• session tokens and device identifiers used for push notifications;
• Google / Apple sign-in links (Sign in with Apple access is revoked automatically).

4What data is kept and for how long

• Database backups are kept for 14 days — within that period the deleted data fully disappears from them as well. Backups are never used to restore or process deleted data.
• Purchase history (subscriptions, one-time purchases) remains with the app stores — the App Store and Google Play — under their own policies; we do not control it. An active subscription must be cancelled separately in your store's subscription settings — deleting the account does not cancel it automatically.
• Support correspondence may be kept for up to 1 year to resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

5Deleting only some data

You don't have to delete the whole account: individual photos can be deleted in the app or in the website cabinet — their files are removed from storage immediately. Questions about your data — [email protected]; more details in the Privacy Policy.
