Terms of Service
The rules of the game: account, content, moderation, subscriptions and purchases.
These Terms of Service govern access to CatOnMap β the mobile application and the catonmap.app website (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Sanders Soft LTD (sanderssoftltd.com). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
1What CatOnMap is
The Service lets you photograph cats, build geo-based country collections, take part in weekly competitions ("battles"), add friends and use the paid Lost Cat search service. Shooting is available only in the mobile app; the website is for browsing your collection, friends, settings and subscription management.
2Account
- An account is required: e-mail registration with code confirmation, or Google sign-in.
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for all activity in your account.
- One person β one account. Creating accounts to inflate rankings is prohibited.
3Content and moderation
- Only cat photos are published. Every shot passes an automatic neural-network check and, when needed, human moderation.
- Not allowed: photos without a cat, photos with people in the frame, inappropriate or explicit content, other people's photos, or material violating third-party rights.
- A photo is published after approval; rejected photos never appear in public galleries. A moderation decision can be revisited β a published photo may be taken down.
- By uploading a photo you confirm that you took it yourself and grant the Service a non-exclusive licence to display it in galleries, profiles, battles and the Lost Cat search.
4Free plan and subscriptions
- Free β at no cost: 1 photo every 10 minutes, 20 collection slots, galleries, battles and friends.
- Plus (β¬3 / week) β 1 photo every 3 minutes. Pro (β¬5 / week) β no pauses between shots.
- Subscriptions are purchased and renewed through the App Store or Google Play under the store's rules; they are cancelled there as well. A subscription affects only the photo upload frequency.
- Storage packs β one-time purchases that expand your collection forever: 100 (β¬5), 1,000 (β¬20), 10,000 (β¬50), 100,000 (β¬150) photos. Packs unlock sequentially and never expire.
- Lost Cat β a one-time paid search request for a missing cat: up to 5 photos of the pet, a 7-day search within a 5 km radius with match notifications. Payment does not guarantee a find: the Service provides the search, not the result.
- Refunds are handled under the App Store / Google Play rules.
5Prohibited
- Circumventing limits, moderation or payment mechanisms; using bots or automation.
- Uploading other people's photos, images from the internet or generated images presented as your own shots.
- Interfering with the operation of the Service, its API or infrastructure.
6Termination
We may restrict or close an account that violates these terms, including ranking manipulation and repeated uploads of prohibited content. You may delete your account at any time in the settings.
7Liability
The Service is provided "as is". We strive for uninterrupted operation but do not guarantee the absence of failures. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the last 12 months.
8Changes to the terms
We may update these terms; the current version is published on this page. By continuing to use the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.
